I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about. It's below normal, and that happens in summer. The avg high/low for our area today is 79.9/60.6F. Our high today is forecast for 70F. Our std deviation on the max temp today is 8F. It is not that unusual. Also, this forecast looks quite typical for early summer in our area:

Been stuck in the 60s most of the day in Myrtle Beach. It was only 64 F at 1PM. Quite unusual for June 5th. Record low max for the date is 66 F, but it was in the 70s overnight and it's currently 68 F. Still interesting nonetheless. Charleston is currently at 69 F after a high of 76 F at noon. Odd.

Yup. Of course it always happens...actually you bring up an interesting thing to research...how many times. Areas in the NorthEast(not so much Mid Atlantic) were 20 degrees below the normal. Should be 77 for the high and it stayed at 57 yesterday. Thats impressive. Considering we were being torched for so long.

Here's the 24hr Temp change.. Your eyes might get locked into that 44 degree drop there but notice the Northeast is warmer today then yesterday this time and Mid Atlantic is cooler...

Here are the Normal Highs for June 5th and forecasted Highs. East and West below normal.

We had a high of 56°F yesterday, 19°F below average.

Why not start making your plans now? You'd LOVE living in central or south Florida, and you'd have lots of British expats around to keep you company.

Life is just too short to be miserable all the time...

I am enjoying the nice weather, currently 26c with 45% humidity 13.3c dewpoint. Could be warmer, but I won't complain.

Yeah, that is well below normal. We are usually a bit warmer than you. Our high today was 68F, and yesterday was 68F. Currently it is 66. The low was 57F and 52F, but will be warmer and much warmer in a day and two days out. Not sure about where you are. The Mid-Atlantic is very diff climate wise than New England usually.

Mt Washington State Park, Monday June 4, 2012 : The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation

Weather was less than favorable on the summit this past weekend with heavy rain, freezing temperatures and winds near hurricane force. Despite these terrible weather conditions 31 hikers trekked up the various trails and 21 of them were under-prepared, needing assistance.

State Park staff assisted these hikers by providing dry clothing from our lost-&-found cache, blankets, warm drinks and a ride off the summit.

I saw my breath tonight. That was a little weird.

Ok.... even though I prefer this weather all summer..a couple more days and I'm recharged. Lets get the heat in and over with. I'll be ready for it and able to tolerate it now. This is all I needed. A recharge. :-)

I'm thinking pattern will change in the East to persistantly above normal starting end of June/Beginning of July.

As a weather moderate for once I wish we had a normal winter and a normal summer. I love our average 85F degree summer days. I don't enjoy temps in the 90's after a couple of days.
