Bring it on! I'd be interested in seeing if we're actually still capable of getting a proper cold summer month by historic standards. A fresh, comfortable 17-18C every day would not get me complaining so long as we don't get a month with 25 wet days or whatever - I've had enough hot weather for the time being.

Much nicer today than it has been. Currently 75 F with a dewpoint of 48 F. Forecast for the upcoming week looks seasonal and we may get a good soaking tomorrow night. No complaints here.

Nice and humid (by our standards) today. Temp is 71F and dew point is 59F. Unfortunately it is overcast and there isn't much rain showing up on radar.

Unbelievably the latest output shows a high of 6°C / 43°F here on Sunday now. Don't know whether to just break down and cry or destroy something.

This is a particularly rough time of the year for me, as this marks the end of "easy" summer and the beginning of "core" summer, i.e., the dreaded months of June, July and August. If only I could put myself in stasis for those three months...lol
Looking ahead, I still have to cross the milestones of the Solstice, the 4th of July weekend and that long, long stretch to Labor Day, which seems to recede ever further into the horizon like a mirage as the merciless Dog Days roll on seemingly without end. I sit here in my air-conditioned prison, watching the radar returns for the storms that never come, the grass browning from the never-ending drought, the sun wheeling ever so slowly across the hazy, heat-saturated sky.
Such a dreaded season...if only I could trade places with WF2...lol. In my dreams....only in my dreams...

Exactly how I felt living in South Texas. Then I traded with myself and moved to Colorado!

I know what you mean, that's why June-August I try to keep the A/C at 65F, so that I could still enjoy that coffee in the morning. Can't wait till fall and then I could sip that outside.

For some reason, when I get in a occasional nap, I like to sleep with the windows open on a cool day and don't mind the noises of kids lauging or birds chirping or grass cutting. As it makes it feel like I'm napping outside in a hammock, BUT I don't like those noises to wake me up in the morning or EARLY morning as is with the birds. I don't know why, but the birds start chirping at 3:30-4am, and the sun rises around 5:35am this time of year, but that's too early for me. I did enjoy sleeping with the windows open in March and April, but couldn't in May. Had to close the windows and crank up the A/C. Started a month earlier than usual though.

Currently 8:15am and the temperature is 9.5C / 49.1F which is the low so far.. the temperature is still falling as I speak.. very odd indeed, looks like the low temperature could occur at around 10am..
In fact the temperature has been acting very odd all night.. it was 13C at 12am, then fell to 12C at 2am, rose to 14C at 4am then started falling again..

Bleh. A dreary start to June. Cloudy and rainy all day. Still was 12C/53F at noon. The high's expected to be just 15C/59F or so today.

Had a similar night a couple of days ago. -0.6C/31F at about 2 am, 12C/54F at 6.00 am. A foehn effect off the western ranges. A few years ago saw a 7C/45F midnight temp, reach 24C/74F by 4.00 am, although that was in early october.
