Anyway, over the summer I usually build up a heat tolerance
almost to the point where by august,30c doesn`t feel as hot
as it does in may or june
Still not a fan of heat but I can tolerate it
with AC and a powerful fan, I can tolerate almost anything
I can to some degree by telling myself that a certain temperature is not hot or cold.
I can reason with myself the reason I can feel hot sometimes when it's 79 F/26 C is because I'm either sick or too thirsty.
I can sometimes feel overheated at 75 F/24 C after a long cool winter.
But it just takes me a few days to adapt.
Then after a few weeks of summer 75 F doesn't even feel warm to me.
I'm building it up now since I don't have any A/C. I'm fine with 75F inside whereas when I lived down South I never let it get above 70... I'm finding my workplace pretty cold too these days.

Exactly the same thing happens to me. Could never understand how people could want it 70°F and below inside in the summer, but perhaps that's normal for anyone who turns the A/C as soon as it gets hot?
I slowly get used to heat as the summer goes on, with tolerance for cooler temperatures decreasing at the same time.
I'm not sure if my tolerance for heat ever rises or falls. After the exceptionally cool April, the 81F temperatures of late May really didn't phase me at all and I didn't find myself crawling under a rock.

More than heat tolerance (haven't had enough warm days for it), it's cool intolerance which strikes me the most this year. Today's 60°F high felt quite chilly. Though to be fair it's not been very sunny lately.
I had to move to a MUCH hotter place around 10 years ago (came from Mar del Plata, oceanic, to subtropical hot BA) and my tolerance didnt build up. I think im less tolerant of the heat as time goes by. Its a psicological thing: if i see in TV temps reach 27 or 28, i start shaking and feeling nervious, cause i KNOW what is coming, here we have those awfully long intense heatwaves and summer is really a no break for the heat very long period. So, in October, even when the temperatures are nice, i feel bad if termometer reaches 27c....i feel so bad i wanna cry. So i cant even enjoy a 25 c day if its in october cause im just so afraid of whats coming! October 2011 till March 2012 was a NIGHTMARE to me. But this haves to do with where i live.
I think that if i experienced a 27 c day in October in MDP i wouldnt feel that bad, cause in MDP you can even expect a cool summer, nothing is that terrible. But here it is impossible to not have a hot summer, so everytime i sense that summer is coming, i suffer.
I need to either build up my heat tolerance or buy an A/C cause my life cant continue like this!
For now im ok cause we are in June (yay) but i start getting worried in september, lol.

Even though I'm tolerating 75-80 inside, natural A/C is refreshing to me. This morning, I left the windows open and the thermostat read 62.
