A. Hot, dry sunny summers. Warm springs & Autumns & short mild winters. I have been to Malta at all times of the year & even in winter it can get to 20C. Frosts are non existant, snow is unheard of & the very coldest days of winter are still warmer than the average winter temperatures in the mildest parts of the UK. This is one of the reasons why we are moving there in a couple of months

They do get plenty of thunderstorms there & they can have torrential downpours, sometimes causing flash floods. This is where most of the rainfall comes from as even in winter it still averages 5/6 hours of sunshine a day...

It's the same here, 30C in Brisbane feels much hotter than 30C in Perth -where you hardly even raise a sweat .
For the record, I give this climate a B, marginally too hot in summer with minimums too high - ie 3 consecutive months >20C.
There is also a definite winter here by Southern Hemisphere standards, I don't know too many people that swim in 15C maximums.
The rest of the year is perfectly fine for me.
The heat in Malta during the summer isn't typical dry Mediterranean heat as it is a tiny island so is much more humid. July & August are very opressive there, with a temperature of 33C having a "real feel" temperature in the low 40's...

Lived there one year. Winter and Spring is great. One of the few green places in europe in winter. Some thunderstorms mixed with alot sunny days at 14-18°. What is remarkable I never was freezing so much in winter like in Malta. Houses are isolatet like a tent without heating. Gets kinda cold in a 7° night. Summer however I felt horrendous coming from North Germany. Daytime the sun burns like in hell at 28-40°. At night it is humid like in tropes because of surrounding sea and midnight temps of 25-30° at high humidy is not good for sleeping. I kinda liked this summerfeeling at ist highest but it was Abit over the top. Wouldnt survived without AC -) D+

Yes houses out here are designed to stay cool, so unfortunately in winter it isn't much warmer inside than outside, coupled with the high humidity it does feel cold inside at night. Strangely it often feels warmer outside! Last night I felt cold, even though the temperature outside at 1am was around 16C & when I opened the door it did feel warm outside lol...

Homes here don't have central heating so most people use portable bottled gas heaters (we have one) but more beneficial are de-humidifiers, once you get the humidity out of the air it makes it feel warmer

This is a great climate A+ considering its latitude. It can give San Diego a run for its money! (Although the American Gulf Coast is much warmer.)

D. Summers are a bit too hot and winters don't offset the hot summers.
