La Rioja, located in the same-name province in the very far west of Argentina, and its known for being very arid and uncomfortably hot. It features a semi-arid climate (Bsh) and it basically doesnt have a winter, the average highs for all months are above 20c, and in 6 months the average highs are above 30c. It rains very little through the year, less so in the winter months.

The only break from the heat you get in La Rioja are the average winter lows, wich go from 4 to 10c , though the highs go from 20 to 26c. Humidity is on the medium range and sun on the high medium range, at 2700 sunshine hours a year.

What to do you think about this climate??:

All im gonna say is that i never been there and im not planning on visitng .

I rate it a D, it saves itself from an F cause of the average winter lows, but its overall a very uncomfortable climate for my tastes. Those highs are insane!!!

Summer's too hot, and winter's too dry. This one is a total F.

Winters are a little cool, overall far too dry, sunshine is decent, and kind of like that when it does rain, it's summer rain. Rounded out seems like a C+ to me... I prefer Argentinian climates further north.

Edit: Lol at self, thought the average highs were the record highs.

Sorry La Rioja, although your winters are actually just about perfect, your summers are too muggy and hot. You get downgraded to a C.

Too warm and sunny (I like warm and sunny on occasion but this is too much). I give it a solid D solely based on summer precipitation max.

I would like this one more if the dry season wasn't sooooo long.

I think if I had to live in a desert, in Argentina, Mendoza's the spot:

Honestly though, from my perspective, Argentina has a great selection of climates for just about every non-snowy, non-wintry climate type. I think of the major cities Cordoba is my top pic.

D. It's not an F because winter is livable (though not deserving the name 'winter'). The rest is too hot. Not only is it hot, but it also has a spring-lead that makes temps quickly warm up to the point of having a high of 31 C in October! That's nasty.
