Wow. This one is a bit hard to rate. The winter highs are pretty good, but those lows are brutal to say the least . I definitely wouldn't be going outside in an average night in this place. The snowfall is a crushing amount and would be neat to experience, though well over 11 000 inches of snow (1000+ feet!) would require a drastically different lifestyle from what is conventional here on Earth. The summers are far too hot and would be lethal to me, and I'd again have to stay inside for the duration (2 months in this case which is worse than the winters where I can at least come out in the daytime). The August days would be very refreshing, and I can understand the necessity of such hot summers to melt off that huge amount of snowfall.

The change in the elevation, on the order of 1000 feet seasonally, would have interesting effects in an of itself.

As for the climate itself I have to give it a C+; the rough summers and winters balance out and it's a cut above the seasonless 60F climate, but still it can't earn a B-grade.

The first climate would be really lousy year-round bar that one month, and that one month can't make up for the 11 bad ones. If it had 100 inches of snow it might, but 40 inches isn't quite enough. I rate this one a D.

Climate 1 gets a D+.

Climate 2 gets a F--, because of lethal winters and summers.

Do you know that -450 F is only a few degrees about absolute zero...? (A temp which is not reached anywhere in the universe)

Your place would have to be some kind of alien planet with a very thin atmosphere

It is too unrealistic for me to rate it.

As for the other one (60/82 every month except snowy January and 4000 hours) it looks fun to experience, 1 month of real winter, 11 months of a mild/warm summer...If January is sunny (when it's not snowing) I give it a B
