Tough one... I think I'll give the edge to San Josť.. I like the rainfall distribution better with fewer rain days in the dry season and the wet season is not quite as wet as Cairns.

Cairns, for it's higher rainfall and sunshine hours. Also has a bit more seasonality in temperatures. Close call, San Jose looks more comfortable in terms of year-round temperatures.

San Josť no contest. I'd probably give it an "A" rating.

San Jose - and yes, definitely an A climate for me, too!

An edge to Cairns if its is sunnier - which it appears to be.

Cairns for higher rainfall.

I generally prefer drier winters and wet summers too.

Cairns - it has more rain and a less pronounced dry season. Plus I can just go to Babinda, 35 miles south of Cairns, and get 165 inches of rain per year.
