I used to enjoy the first wintery cold and damp day (usually end of Oct or early Nov), where the high would only be 12-13C and gloomy with drizzle - as it meant xmas and new year were not too far away.

Im a huge heat hater and theres nothing i hate more than HOT nights (i dont have A/C and live in a sauna-like house, so basically i dont sleep between december and march), but, this torridly hot summer i did enjoy for a while when i was nightswimming (in my building pool). I went nightswimming in those hot 30celsius nights and i admit that swimming at night while looking at the stars was nice while it lasted, and stepping out of the water and suddenly feeling a "cool" (yeah, i know, 30c and cool cant go in a sentence together, but you do feel cool like for an instant after stepping out of water in a hot night) breeze felt just great.

Of course, after a few minutes i go back to wanna kill myself.

If i lived in a place that would have lakes and the same climate BA haves in the summer, i will go swimming in the lake daily and nightly and will enjoy that too. I lived in a beach city most of my life but didnt enjoy it as much cause beaches were too crowded and sea was too wavy. But lake + BA weather (meaning: hot)= i could see that as enjoyable.

of course it will only be enjoyable while im IN the water and few seconds after i step out of water....after that, it would just be a nightmare!

Yeah, my wording was not the greatest.

I don't mind visiting places for the scenery in the winter, love going to the Rocky Mountains/Banff AB.

If I were to move to my desired location it would not see temperatures <0C. I am a fan of subtropical/tropical foliage.

My ideal temperature range during the year would be highs between 20 and 30C, with lows between 15 and 20 C. Would also like to say no lower no higher, unless on occasion.

I like a few heat waves in the summer to spice things up. Even though they are miserable. Just keep the hazy weather and bad air quality away. I've been sneezing like crazy the last few days because of haze, not highs in the mid 30s C (92-99 F).

Mesa, Arizona.

I was there during winter a few times, and I found both the 25 to 30C on a warm winter's day very comfortable, as well as the near-freezing weather on some occasions during a cold winter morning very uncomfortable, mainly on my throat due to lack of humidity (I recall dewpoints were around -30 to 35C, and as soon as you step into a house where the dewpoint is still -30C but the temperature is heated to +20C it becomes really rough on the throat)

I have not yet experienced a summer at my father's place, and I have zero intention to ever do so, maybe except for a day or two just for the experience.

I'm not a big fan of dry summers for here. The upside is that the underwater visibility is better for spear fishing.

*Experiencing snow just for the fun of it (it's just that we never got snow).

*Getting record heat (45C+) is exciting, and I hate scorchers.
