Those who know me here know that I am a resilient heat lover, and more than 95% of the time I don't want any temp below 20°C (and I'd be happy if it could be that way forever) however on a few rare occasions I might enjoy cooler temps than my usually ideal conditions, namely:

- I like to experience snow once in a while (something like once every two years would be highly sufficient)
- After spending an hour in a hot, crowded bar or nightclub, especially when I'm tipsy (or worse) I enjoy stepping outside in cold air (I recall walking 30 min wearing only a t-shirt in 3°C weather in Paris in February after partying for the whole night)
- When I'm sick (with fever) I feel more comfortable in cooler weather, say around 20°C and not above 25°C
- After an intense workout session I also enjoy when it's cool outside when I step out
- All drivers know that even in 25/30°C weather, when you step inside a car that's been parked in the sun, temps inside can reach well above 40°C which is clearly not comfortable.

However as I said those occasions represent no more than 5% of the time and are exceptions rather than the rule.

Are there any situations where, as I do, you can enjoy/dislike weather in ways which are opposite to your usual tastes? (e.g. cold lovers enjoying heat in some specific situations, etc.)

It's OK when snow has just fallen thickly and is nice and fluffy, and looks nice etc... as long as I don't have to go anywhere and keep warm. However the novelty wears off very fast.

I only like the weather that I like. However, severe thunderstorms and heat waves can be "enjoyable" for the novelty and weather interest of it, so long as it's quick-hitting and doesn't last more than a day or two.

I would only like to experience cold weather <0C if I was skiing or travelling. Never where I lived. As I like tropical plants.

I think he means that he wouldn't like to live in a place that gets freezing weather, but he would like to visit other places that do get freezing weather.

I like hot and humid weather every year for a period of time for interest only, and also to spark off some juicy Floridian-style thunderstorms and downpours.

Here in Savannah, the sun shines every day. A typical rain storm occurs in the afternoon for about a half hour and then the sun shines again.
Before I moved here, I endured day after day of gray skies and lack of sunshine. Now, a day of gray skies and solid rain is a day to be enjoyed. I get to wear my cute yellow raincoat, or just stay in and read a book. It is a rare treat.

I'd enjoy some snow or a good hard frost, just for the novelty of it because it something that doesnt happen here. Wouldn't want to make it a regular thing though or severe enough to kill any subtropical species of palms

I think I would enjoy a cold crisp day every once in a while especially if I'm outside exercising or doing something physically strenuous but no matter how I slice it, there are no circumstances where I'd like any snow at all.
