I don't think the Toronto area is that sunny.

We average just over 2000 hours of sunshine (2030? 2080?)
so when you divide by 4383 possible daylight hours
you end up with a best possible average of 5.7 hours of sun per day.

Sarnia ON is sunnier than Toronto, averaging 2370-ish hours? (6.5 daily)
Nearby London ON is far worse though, at 1890 hours. (5.2 daily)

Dhdh... Nice, France averages an annual low of 12.4 C?
That's not fair for a non-island climate at 44 degrees N from the Equator!
*same annual low as Williamtown, NSW at 32.8 degrees S

My average day:

23.0 C (73.5 F?) high
12.4 C (55 F?) low
3 mm rain (0.12")
7.1 hours of sun

Lately our diurnal ranges are much bigger than this, except on our mostly-cloudy days.
I don't know when a normal day happens here.

Only one problem.....I don't live in Toronto
I live in Burlington....it's both warmer and sunnier than T.O. , even Hamilton is
sunnier than Toronto.
A microclimate due to being located between Lake Ontario and the escarpment,
one of the reasons why the RBG (Royal Botanical Gardens) is located in Burlington.

Our average annual temp is 8.9c at RBG weather station, 9.2c at Liftbridge
weather station located at entrance to Burlington Bay.
Toronto Lester B Pearson International Airport weather station annual avg is only 7.5c
Burlington is like Toronto on steroids.

Saskatoon:
-------------
High: 8.2°C (46.8°F)
Low: -3.8°C (25.2°F)
Rainfall: 0.7mm (0.03 inches)
Sunshine: 6.4 hours

Seems like a fairly average fall or early spring day out here (well, minus the little bit of rain).
