Nice is further North than NYC, you live in a Tropical City. What exactly were you expecting?!

It's very rarely uncomfortably humid here, never ever oppressive. I think the highest I've experienced in the UK is 21C and the highest I've personally experienced is 80F possibly, maybe higher in Thailand.

Peak summer dew points are quite consistent here, never getting into the oppressive range. Most summer months get to around 20°C. Looks like most years peak at either 21°C or 22°C, though 2007 didn't get above 19°C and 2008 stayed at 20°C.

Highest dew point in 2012 was 21°C (June, July)
Highest in 2011 was also 21°C (June, August)
Highest in 2010 was 21°C (July)
Highest in 2009 was 21°C (May)
Highest in 2008 was 20°C (June, July)
Highest in 2007 was 19°C (June, July, August)
Highest in 2006 was 22°C (July)
Highest in 2005 was 22°C (July)
Highest in 2004 was 21°C (July)
Highest in 2003 was 21°C (June, August
Highest in 2002 was 22°C (June)
Highest in 2001 was 22°C (August)

The warmest I experienced was 24.4°C/75.9°F in June 2002, visiting a castle in the Loire valley. The high was 35°C/95°F, so it was quite muggy. I'd like to go to tropical locations in summer to experience higher than that, as I like "swimming in the air".

Haha I recommend it. 25°C+ dew points are one non negligible weather experience, even essential for heat lovers . Pretty much everywhere in coastal Asia in July will do though, you don't even need to go to tropical latitudes. I'm pretty sure Tokyo or Shanghai routinely get high dew points in summer. Not too sure about more inland locations such as Beijing which is not too far from semi arid but gets quite humid during its monsoon with 22°C July lows.

Take a look at these locations in the US East. Charleston and Port Isabel are way muggier than here.

This is Philadelphia:

Charleston is quite a bit muggier than where I live:

Look at the graph below at how incredibly muggy South Padre Island and S. Texas are:

Thanks for the link it's really useful it was able to give me the beginning and end of winter, spring, and fall. which is really hard to figure out in a tropical climate.

I love that site. Our highest dewpoint was 82F, on July 15, 1995. The heat index peaked at 129F.

Typically in July and August the afternoon dewpoint peak is around 70F. We can feel very muggy here.

The nearby Delaware River estuary water temp is around 80-82F all summer long, while the Atlantic is in the mid 70'sF.
