I have never seen anyone surprised by rain in summer, but sometimes they're surprised when it lasts longer than five minutes. I see stupid **** like this all the time - "You know you're from Florida when you don't carry an umbrella because the rain will stop and sun will come out in five minutes."
Completely ignoring the fact that it's very unusual to get periods of rain lasting less than a hour. Even if it stops raining soon, it will be miserable and overcast for a long time afterwards.
There are way too many Florida weather stereotypes the media spews out that need to be destroyed.
