I think that West and Central Africa would be perfect if there was a north to south mountain range east of the Atlantic Ocean with extensive highlands like parts of the Andes.
Alexandria, Egypt and Tangier, Morocco have weak Med climates with kinda wet winters and dry summers.

Alexandria is way too dry. Tangier seems to be decently wet.

My favorite climate in Africa is by far the hot desert climate of the Sahara desert for very simple reasons. The climate is hot, sunny and dry. The summers are long, prolonged and especially scorching and the record highs are easily above 50 °C (122 °F) in the most part. The winters remain short, brief, and extremely warm. The sunshine duration is the highest on the planet, with the sunniest locations approaching, and even depassing 4,000 hours of annual bright sunshine (more than 91.3% of the daylight hours). The dryness and the aridity are just extreme in the desert, particularly in the central, hyperarid core where some areas average less than 1 mm of yearly precipitation. With all these features, my favorite climate in Africa and even in the world is of course the Sahara desert climate.

Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town, South Africa

Port Elizabeth, South Africa
Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Both cities are located almost identical latitude shares with Sydney, Australia.
Temperature patterns are similar to Auckland, New Zealand or warmer, but deficient annual precipitation.
Yes, not even close to my favorite, if I have to really pick these from Africa.

Ifrane - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My favorite climate in Africa is Ifrane, Morocco. Wet, chilly winters with occasional snow and warm summers. The coldest temperature ever recorded in Africa, -24 C (-11 F), was recorded there.

Sutherland, Northern Cape - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Honorable mention goes to Sutherland with cool 8C summer lows.
