I love hot weather. I start getting uncomfortable as soon as the temperature drops below 60F. Today in Salt Lake City, the high was supposed to reach 25F but I watched all day for it to get up to 20F and never saw it happen. I took my dog for a walk this afternoon when it was 18F. I was wearing a t-shirt, two sweaters, a fleece tunic and a knee-length, fleece-lined-to-the-waist, down parka. I just about froze to death. Every time I hear people say that when you're too hot, there's nothing you can do about it, but when you're cold, all you have to do is layer, I think about those many times I've been as cold as I was today. I simply cannot layer enough!
Cold sucks, layering sucks. I find when I put loads of layers on it's harder to move about in all that junk, plus my hands, feet and head/face are still cold, and my armpits/crotch starts sweating under all those layers but I'm still cold. What a joke.
Reminds me of my trip to Hungary last year in January Was cold outside, but not bitterly cold and was actually comfortable wearing 2 shirts and a thick jumper, but my parents made me wear all sorts of coats and crap and everyone heats their small apartments so much that you'd be entrenched in sweat not more than within 5 minutes of going indoors. I was throwing off my layers within moments after walking into the small stifling room from a -2C outdoor temp.
If you layer for cold outside then when you get inside you sweat like a pig. I can't see how people enjoy living in those conditions.
Yeah, I hate that. When I go outside and ride my bike in the cold, I'm usually pretty layered up. Then once I get used to the cold outside, it feels uncomfortably heated indoors when I step back in. So then I'll remove all my layers because I'm too warm just after exercising in the cold. Then when I settle down so does my metabolism and I feel cold again and put more layers on.
My climate is cooler than Salt Lake City and I have never worn layers - just a heavy coat. If I go for a run ill wear hat/gloves though

You just deal with it instead of complaining - my advise: keep the door open for the 15 seconds it takes to remove clothing Its no different than dealing with sweating like a pig outdoors for half the year
If you cant cope with 60f then what the HELL are you loving in salt lake city for? Honestly! 60f is not cold at ALL. People camp out in the summer in colder temperatures here.. I could sleep all night at 60f outside in a tshirt. Infact some of the rooms in my house are in the mid 50s,
