Kharkiv - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm interested, how you rate my hometown climate, but I haven't found it on this forum and I decided to create this theme. So, what do you think about this climate?

Of course, if you'd spend your whole life in Hawaii, Kharkiv's winters are very cold.

B. Not bad. Winter temperatures are a tad colder than I would like, and the low sunshine hours won't help, but it's still not terrible. I like summers with highs in the mid-80's so there could also be warmer summers. I also like how precip is evenly distributed throughout the year. So I wouldn't mind living here, but I might have to get out of town for a few days during the winter.

Summers could be warmer, especially the record highs and I'd prefer much more rain but there are many things to love about it, especially the winter temps and the unequal sunshine distribution. Kharkiv gets a B.
Overall Ukraine features some of the best climates in Europe to me, along with Moldova and Romania. I always look at Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk's readings with envy during cold spells (western European weather maps don't go as far east as Kharkiv).

B+

The biggest downside is the lack of sun in winter.

Summer looks very nice!

C. The summers are great. Winters are a bit too much cold to my taste, although the fact that it must receive goods amounts of snow. Also, its very drizzly all year around, which i don't like.

Not great but not horrible either. Vaguely similar in temperature to the Greater Toronto Area (depending on where and when you take the measurement), but significantly drier. Paradoxically, the dryness doesn't seem to mean a greater amount of sunshine, which is disappointing.

Overall I give it a C-. Winters are just too long for my tastes. And again, the amount of sunshine is inadequate.

It's too cold overall, especially in the winter, and it's also too dry and cloudy. But since the summers aren't a total disaster I'll give it a D.

I remember the weather was amazing for the Euros last summer, I'd definitely enjoy the summer! Not so much the winter though, C
