So i was thinking today (very nice day out, sunny, only 25c with a cool breeze) while walking, what was the best temp for talking a walk, if a day like this (warm, low humidity, breeze, sunny) or a cooler day like 15c sunny, with a breeze, etc.

I think that for myself (i dont enjoy hot temperatures) the best day for walking by (like go outside walking, enjoying parks, etc) and doing outdoors activities its a 13-16c completely sunny day! With this temp, you wont get very hot even if you walk 1000 blocks. While a 25c day like today with a breeze is comfortable, i can testify it can get hot if you walk under the strong sun, while walking under the sun in a 15c day is the best thing cause you feel that cozy warm feeling from the sun, but not the hot uncomfortableness.

I love talking walks, going outside, going to parks, etc, and i think a cool temperature with abundant sun is ideal for that, so theres no chance of sweating, and you really dont get tired if you walk too much.

Walking with temps above 28c is always a horrible experience, i hate it and i avoid it!!!
Walking in temps between 25 and 28c can be uncomfortable i dont usually like it.
Walking in temps between 20 and 25 can be nice with the right conditions (like cool wind) and i do it a lot, but try to avoid the sun.
Walking in temps below 20c is the best and most comfortable way to walk around and enjoying life outdoors!!!

what do u think?
what is your ideal temp for walking?

My ideal walking temperatures can be up to 3 C/ 5 F lower than what I like for just sitting in the shade.
Ideal running temperatures can be maybe 10 C/18 F lower than what I like when I am sitting.

I dislike going for a run lasting over 5 minutes at maybe 34+C/94+ F?

If I lived in a climate like Baghdad, I would probably learn to dislike long walks at 40+ C.
But temperatures are so seldom that high that where I live that I don't get a chance to tire of them.

Too cold for pleasant walking? Without gloves I would say 7 C.

for going for a run is even lower!!
I say ideal running weather for me is between 9c and 15c sunny.

If i ran in an over 30c temp i would probably drop dead in seconds!!! :O
thats why i gain weight in summer :P

Tough choice. I enjoy walking on a blustery 30 F/-1 C day in the winter and on a partly cloudy 75 F/24 C day in the summer. Ideal walking conditions for me really ranges anywhere from 20 F/-7 C to 75 F/24 C with a breeze. Cloudy weather outside of summer inspires me to take walks. Cool and dry weather during the summer encourages me to go out.

Ideal weather? 9C with sunshine and a light breeze. Anything above 16C and overheating becomes a factor while walking or running in the sun (20C if it's cloudy). Anything below 0C and a cold-weather outfit is needed. Taking a walk is pleasurable even when it's -20C, but since I have coats and other cold-weather gear on, I think it falls into a different category than what we're talking about.

I love 9c with sunshine too, for walking!! If i have the right clothes, 9c is right up there with 15c for walking! I guess all the range between 7c and 16c, with sunshine, is the range i like for being outdoors and enjoy the day

Cant believe we are liking similar temps in something, you usually like colder temps than i do, though we equally hate heat

I go for my 2.2 mile brisk walk every day and enjoy it.

Down here ( Ozarks of Arkansas) 32 was the coldest and 107 was the hottest.

I walk at 1:00PM

I don't really go out for walks, but usually run or bike, so I'll have to extend the question.

If roaming the city on foot without a clear destination, the ideal temp would be 19-21C/66-70F and partly cloudy. Rain is a big turn-off, so not that. Around 15C/60F is also very good if you don't realise you've left home without a long-sleeved shirt.

Just sitting in a park (or at the river as we usually do here), the temps has to be a bit higher. 22-29C/72-84F and sunny is preferable. Around 32C/90F it gets a bit uncomfortable when sunny, and some shade would be nice.

The ideal weather for running is around 11-13C/52-55F and cloudy skies, but anything above 2C/36F and dry is pretty ok. If raining, some 6 or 7C /43-45F is the lowest

Playing football the ideal would be some 13-16C/55-61F and cloudy. I've done it in -10C and 30C /14-86F, but that is really not nice.

Biking is a tricky one, as it is all about what you're wearing. During winter, some -5C/23F is usually the limit when i choose not to sit on the saddle. Even if keeping a quick pace you don't feel cold at all, the freezing of the hands and face makes the experience a bit uncomfortable. Of course slippery conditions also play a big part why it's not very nice.
In summer again, taking a trip in 27C/81F with scorching sun is terrible and you have to drink all the time.
In a urban environment where you have to stop in traffic lights all the time and keep a low pace, most temps between -2C and 30C /28-86F are acceptable.

Yes, I actually decide a lot of my outdoor activities depending on the weather.
