Its 4th march and I was just thinking its soon gonna be april and its snowing next week. Alot of people will see their last snow soon. March this year feels colder than last year.

Here it is always early- mid april on average. What about you?

A big issue each time snow comparisons is mentioned is what's the minimum required to count as snow? What accumulation? Or just a few flakes falling (often at night and hard to notice or remember)?

A snow flurry is the requirement. Last snow to me is the last time you see any snow falling. Note sleet with flakes is not good enough.

Stop kidding yourself your last snowfall is not in April on average maybe February.
Last and first snowfall is generally limited to the 3 winter months for Lowland Britain & Ireland.

Last day of snow falling, typically early April, but settling snow? Almost always March. Last year, our last significant snowfall was 4 April when 1 - 3 inches fell.

How is that different.

Im not talking about snowfall im talking about snow falling, snow is snow and to me the last time i see snow is early to mid april.

Last lying snow depends alot. Sometimes it februrary sometimes its april. Last year it was mid- march. I think we may get a covering next week due to northernly airmass.
