Well I like a varied time.

Summer - Sunrise 2am. Sunset 11pm.
Winter - Sunrise 11am. Sunset 2pm.

In my current latitude i'd have to goto 64north for that. I don't think my current variations are big enough.
Also my timezone would be -1gmt as I hate gmt +1.

This is without taking into account the rather low sun angle at 53N+. I remember being out on a sunny day in Newcastle in July and the sun just wasn't strong enough for it to feel genuinely summer-like imho. I think Paris is a good compromise, as it gets a decent seasonal daylength variation without suffering too much from the weak summer sun syndrome. Or maybe I'm just used to it. Ideally, I'd like Leeds' seasonal variation and winter sun angle and Rome's summer sun angle.

GMT +1 would give me this

December 21: 9:52am - 5pm
June 21: 5:49am - 11:12pm

I quite like the extreme variation present here. Sun setting at 8 PM in the summer seems ridiculous. A full polar day and night would be nice, something like 70°N.

Actually, just something slightly more to my north looks pretty darn good after doing a little bit of research on sunrise/set times. Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo or Campbell River, British Columbia with a year round daylight time in effect would all be pleasant. I was actually surprised to see how very little I would have to travel northward just to gain that extra bit of time variation to fit closer to my dream times. All I mentioned with exception to Victoria even get some nights that don't get darker than astronomical twilight each year. Seattle can't claim that, though we only miss out on it by a very short period of time around the solstice. (I know it is really not a noticeable difference between that and 'true darkness' but it still has that cool factor none the less. A night with no darker than nautical twilight would be more interesting. But still...).

Wow, even Bellingham has 15 nights where it gets no darker than astronomical twilight. Again, just surprised how very little north I would have to travel to see this kind of difference. In Seattle even at the solstice we have close to two hours where astronomical twilight fades out before returning.

Default tropics

what you posted is just like Malaysia and Singapore, when the earliest sunrise/sunset is about 7 o'clock.

Late solar noons (i mean later than 1pm) means Muslims' Dhuhr (noon) prayer will performed at that time, and it will be the end of rest time. I prefer solar noon time near 12. It's the most ideal. Dhuhr at lunch time.
I like my country (INDONESIA) time for sunrise/set
