Yeah the middle Rhine valley is rather warm in summer, not sure why dean york doubts it?

Wiki averages are consistent with the DWD's (20.3°C in July, 10.9°C yearly and so on):

I don't know why I doubted it. I guess I didn't ever realise or appreciate how warm Germany gets during summer. I'm very impressed, they seem to have very nice summers.

My vote is for Mannheim, Germany. Those summers averages are just Gorgeous.

VA Beach from June-August is quite steamy and uncomfortable without an A/C.
