Could I get the temps and sunshine of the dry one but the precipitation and foliage of the wet one?
well the lake is 50 miles long and has a spectrum of climates, so in theory there should be something that meets your requirments somewhere in between both ends. Also those photos don't really give Chelan, WA justice
I love the north end of the lake. If Stehekin, WA gets more than 2800+ hours of sunshine a year, then it's definitely an A+ climate.
I really doubt it, even though eastern wa is in a rainshadow, it still gets pretty cloudy in the winter. here are two eastern wa cities that do have sunshine hour data.
That being said Chelan will probably be a bit sunnier than these two cities since it is much drier, but I don't imagine by much and I really doubt Stehekin would be that sunny because it is surrounded by mountains so in the winter it will get dark really fast by the shadows that the mountains cast.
Chelan would be my choice for the warmer summer nights. That being said, they're both pretty good, and are also in a truly stunning part of the world.
