40c according to weatherbase. But heat index can go above that temp everytime we get sunny, hot and humid weather.
Record low is 13c according to the same site.

35.8°C officially on August 9th, 1992, unofficial public thermometers in the city even showed up to 38°C that day.

Record from my own weather station (sheltered with a radiation shield) is 37.3°C on July 10th, 2010.

Christchurch NZ, 41.6C in February 2003. Rangiora (just north of Christchurch) recorded a higher temperature (42.4C) on the same day. Quite remarkable when the average highs in summer are only about 22C.

Home city = 31.2c (88.2f) in Glasgow, August 4th, 1974.

Pretty pathetic and it hasn't hit 30.0C or higher at any official weather station since 1983.

Highest temperature in Scotland = 32.9C (91.2F) at Greycrook, Borders, 9 August, 2003.
In UK - 38.5C (101.3 F) - Brogdale, Kent, 10 August, 2003.
