Not easy to choose. San Francisco is better. It has much milder summers.

I voted for Melbourne although the sunshine evels in Melbournce aren't very good. nice thing about San Fran is that you can go a short distance away (say San Jose) and get a much different climate.

San Francisco for the sunshine and less rain.

I accidentally did Melbourne though.

Melbourne definitely. It has much better summers and it's arguably getting sunnier and drier by the year, anyway.

Melbourne for sure. San Francisco has the better rainfall pattern and sunshine, but those temps are horribly mild and laggy. Melbourne's temps are much better.

Melbourne, wetter and more seasonal. It does depend on the suburb though. For instance, Mount Dandegong is great, and SFO beats San Francisco. So it's a bit of a toss-up.

Melbourne in the summers and San Francisco for the rest of the year.
