Made me realise that the climate I live in is actually pretty good, given the number of complaints by other forumers about their climate.
Also has opened my eyes up with all the "'rate the cimate"' threads and critiques of each climate, especially from those that have actually experienced similar climates.
I will second Nei and state that I learned much about "bright sunshine". Many days I find myself thinking about how many sunshine hours we got that day. Seeing all the different sunshine hours from around the world made me realize it is not that cloudy where I live. I always thought my area was so cloudy. Never knew how cloudy Asia was either.
Another thing I learned is just how many climates there are that are colder than mine. I tended to be interested in climates that were warmer in winter, but didn't know much about which ones were colder. I never realized how cold parts of Europe can get, particularly Eastern Europe.

You would have to exclude quite a large area on the upside of 2500 hours though ...
Besides southern Ontario and coastal BC, I don't think he has anywhere to go lol
how about leaving Canada?
