This is only for climate, not the city itself. Where would you rather spend your summer as far as weather is concerned?
New York City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
New Orleans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I chose New Orleans, for warmer nights and more of a monsoon influence.

NYC- it would still offer a lot more variety than my current "blue-dome no clouds in sight" climate but offer cooler nights, some "low humidity days" along with some humid days, and at least a few decent thunderstorms while New Orleans would either be super hot and humid or thunderstormy with no breaks until fall.

New York has more comfortable temps... but New Orleans rainfall is much better. All in all though, New York.

Both of them are hot and really humid, so there's not a drastic difference. That said, I prefer NYC's summers - they're shorter and have more variation than New Orleans's.

New York City has decent, though a bit muggy summers. New Orleans is worse in all regards.

New Orleans summers look extremely unpleasant - hot, humid and wet. Worse than Florida summers which is an experience I don't want to repeat

New York also looks too humid but temperatures are more comfortable so much better than New Orleans.
