Hot yes but there are much more oppressive climates in Australia.

B+. ..... I'd like a bit more variety. I'm assuming it gets a fair amount of storms

Brisbane in winter is in the low 70sF. Remember it is in the Southern Hemisphere. Look at the climate data on wikipedia and it shows the average daily high of June/July is 70-71F.

Sounds more like Tampa in Brisbane than Miami or South Florida.

I think they thought you were referencing Weipa with your comment, when it was clear to me you were referring to Brisbane.

Oh yes-sorry for the confusion everyone. I meant that Brisbane's winters are like Central Florida's, not Weipa's.

When you sound central-South Florida, I was assuming you were talking about Homestead or the area immediately south of Lake O, not Tampa Still Tampa is nowhere near as warm as Weipa. Maybe occasionally a week or so a month, but not for weeks straight

Once again, I was saying that central FL's climate was similar to BRISBANE, NOT Weipa. Brisbane was referenced by someone on here, and I said that it's climate sounded like Tampa.

Hi Galaxyman. If you take a look at this map of thunder days you can see the amount of storms in that region is pretty damn good. Though not as high as around Darwin.

D/E - yearly means of 22C - 33C would quickly become tiresome.
Only a very small window of tolerable weather in the dry season.
