Why Hong Kong observatory and NOAA has differents sunshine hours (1961-1990) for Chicago O'Hare ?
Philadelphia, Dallas etc... has the same problem for sunshine hours (for example Philadelphia international airport has 2498.4 hours of sunshine in NOAA and 2495.1 hours of sunshine in Hong Kong observatory).
What's the more relevant sunshine hours ?

NOAA because it recorded the data itself. HKO is slightly off because it obviously rounds the normal monthly sun duration to the nearest 0.1 hour/day, while NOAA is precise to the nearest 0.1 hour for the entire month.

Thank you Qilin34.
Does NOAA made a 1981-2010 sunshine hours period for United-States cities ?

Not that I'm aware of. Sunshine duration observations ceased at most sites around 2000, likely due to the switch to ASOS.
