It would be excellent, 20c+ highs year round... Must be nice.

Brisbane and Perth are both A+ climates for me.

No it would be boring. I've had 42 days of 20c highs and I am sick of 20c weather!

Winter is not winter without snow.

It all depends on the person, I am a summer outdoor person. Tennis, biking, etc everyday single day for me in summer. Would love to do these activities year round but I can't.

Well I find constant heat boring.

I mean 20c every single day is not any fun and I would hate to live somewhere knowing that I would have to fly for like 5 hours for snow. Pretty pathetic.

It might be fresh but by no means is it cold! I am not saying it is hot just not cold.

To me the air cannot possibly be cold with air that is impossible to produce snow. For the air to be cold the temperature must be 5c at a maximum and considering he made a fuss over 3c temps Melbourne is not cold at all. Just so you are aware in spring we can have 1c maxes and by spring I mean April not march.

I think if I went to aussie in the winter I would kill myself laughing!

Hunter weather - district weather forecast

How's this for winter days?
Can play tennis all year round here, in fact played last night (won 2 out of 3- aint bad, as Meatloaf would say).
Now looking forward to a 24C day, mild to warm, and with no humidity at this time of year to boot.

Sounds perfect, just as warm as today here in our supposed summer.

I hear Sept/Oct/Nov is best months of year for east coast aus.

Last time, for the eastern suburbs of Sydney that is, occurred on the 30th of last month albeit too temporary unfortunately.
Before and after, winds have howled and screamed from the W-SW
Much prefer S/SE flows.
So looking forward to the arrival of the southerly busters soon

On average - yes but not always.
I cite September 1995 for example when it were 2C colder than August, cloudier and much wetter with more than 300% of the average rain falling.
Other examples include November 1984 when 120mm fell between 10pm and 11pm during very severe thunderstorms - that month ended up with a total of 512mm - the second wettest Nov. on record and the highest since 1961 (517mm).
October, in 2004, recorded a monthly total of 234mm which was the second highest at many post 1950 sites and the wettest since 1987.
I recall that September 2006 day when an 24-hour fall (9am to 9am) of 107mm were recorded making it the wettest September day since 1883 very clearly because my best mate was here visiting from Melbourne which was undergoing a very nasty drought at the time and how gobsmacked he were at the amount of heavy rain falling and laughing - with tears streaming down my face - at how the southerly gale blew his umbrella inside-out and the look on his face
