Good question, I lived just south of Perth in WA in the late 90's for 2 summers - where there is negligible rain for 3-4 months in summer - so never really kept tabs on it. Jan and Feb are often zero rain, this is normal.
In Sydney, the longest period was from July 17 to September 2 1995, 47 days.
August 1995 is also the only calendar month that has recorded zero rain.

From February the 3rd to March 17th 2009 MIA saw only trace amonts of rain and 2 .01in days in between for a total of 42 days. but if you don't count .01in days than from February 13th to march 14th miami only saw trace amounts of rain for a total of 30 days. and if you don't count trace amounts than while i've been in miami it has never gone more than 3 weeks with out getting a trace of rain.

Saw rain only 3 out of my 8 days in Florida and was surprised- I expected it to rain every single day this time of the year. It was a weird experience for it to from 90 degrees at noon to 75 degrees at 3PM in the rain as I'm used to a big day/night range with cool mornings and warm afternoons. I LOVED being able to wear a bikini or shorts and a tank top in the rain as that is something I could never do in California. Didn't bother with a poncho as the rainwater provided relief from the heat. I'm glad I had my waterproof bag so I could keep my iphone and wallet dry.

I went outside just wearing shorts in the middle of a summer rainstorm onto my street. Felt so good, washed away all the sweat. A girl across the street in similar bathing suit-level attire was doing the same. Biking through warm rain is fun, too.

And no, it doesn't rain everyday in Florida, particularly September.

Warmest rain I've experienced in California is around 70 F and that is rare; most rain falls with temperatures in the 45 to 62 F range. That horrible sweet spot where it's NEVER cold enough to snow but NEVER warm enough to be able to comfortably go play outside in the rain without getting soaked and cold (unless wearing a poncho or rainjacket). I still like the rain anyway cuz it provides a change of weather and also turns things green here. We may get our first rain of the fall this coming weekend. I'm hoping for a wetter than normal winter after last winter's drought.

That's not that bad except the coldest range. The horrible sweet spot is 35-42°F. Heavy rain in the middle of winter besides being chilling can cause a slushy mess with snow on the ground, where the water just pools around.
