Z-. Hopelessly boring and not .1 degree of variation. It doesn't quite get a Z- to the 100th power, though. It is fairly comfortable. Cooler nights (50F) maybe could raise the grade to a Y.

What would your temperature range be to make it an A plus to the 100th power climate?

My guess is that you'd take Vostok Station over Comfortville. Am I right?

Prob. about 27C (80F) daily max and 15.5C (60F) daily min. Sun and rain are perfect. With low humidities, 27C wouldn't feel "hot".

Yes. If highs were 45 and lows were 20 all year round with 100% sunshine and no rain, I would take that over Vostok, but not this.

A. That's based on the presumption of there being sufficient irrigation to support some nice gardens to hang out in. This climate is nigh-perfect in terms of temps and sun, but that's nothing without a nice environment in which to enjoy it.

OP is probably right about there not being a real-world equivalent to this climate. Iquique is probably the closest match. Possibly coastal Namibia as well.

There are (or were) vineyards in virtually rainless Calama, courtesy of an Andean river. Also in the Azapa valley near Arica, for similar reasons.
