When we are in Texas, we'll run our A/C starting in April and go through Oct. or Nov.
In NM, (in the mountains) there is no A/C. (Don't need it)

Sounds like Houston is better for people who don't really like any seasons, other than summer, since even Dallas is getting some fall-like weather.

Sorry to hear that your weather is still yucky to you.

Up here fortunately it's been cool to coldish, but still acceptably chilly for me lately. Part of that is I get more excersize now, boosting my circulation.
(compared to last fall when I was a City-Data board member)
Thanks to excersize the weather only gets a little hard on me when it approaches freezing instead of before whenever it dipped below 50 F.

Considering it generally hasn't been too cold for me, you'd probably love it here right now.

We still have some green on some of our deciduous trees and shrubs. Don't know why since we've had several frosts.
Once it went down to 25 F. Maybe because it's been calm and clear when we've had frost.

We had our 2nd cold front of the season blow through at around 6 this evening! I was expecting stronger winds and more dust behind it, but I was shorthanded. Instead, we have Red Flag Warnings in effect for Thursdays as we have a combination of gusty winds, cured agriculture, and relative humidities below 25% projected.

As far as temperatures go, we went from 86 to the lower 70s this evening. Our lows will bottom out around 58 tonight -- a high of 70 tomorrow and a low of 39!!!!

brr....

What's interesting to note for next week, not only for my area, but the entire nation's mid section, is a the first real potent blast of arctic air pushing down from Canada for Thanksgiving. Temperatures may even dip around freezing down here for overnight lows -- meaning 10's and 20's up north.
