Of course Chicago. It has four seasons. San Diego is a boring office climate.

I like winters, so I would probably be a bit board with the same climate year round, but obviously, San Diego is sunny and mild. HOWEVER, a just a mere 15 miles inland the temperatures are much much hotter than the "official" thermometer which is near the ocean.

San Diego. Sunnier no matter what system of measurement might be used, the rest is obvious - drier, more stable etc.

Chicago for the lower sunshine hours and seasonality. Not a fan of the summers though.

San Diego by a mile. It is comparing an B climate to a F climate to me.

Why don't you like Chicago summers? They are pretty much identical to New Jersey's. Maybe that's the reason why

Actually our winters can be too long. I love a cold snowy winter, but I can't stand it when it sometimes starts in the middle of November and doesn't end until the start of April!
