Did a new one for Helsinki. Don't like the dryness in summer, but the warm months tend to be that...

Do you like mild lows? I took the months with the warmest lows for Helsinki (centre):

Those lows are impressive. No summer month at Heathrow has seen lows that high. July 2006 had 17.8c at London Weather Centre and 18.3c at London City Airport.

The island of Utö is certainly more interesting in the low department, especially during the latter half of the year. That August 19.2C avg low must be the highest ever recorded in Finland.

I came a long way but it clearly didn't work when I was going to paste it into the forum

Here's the link by the way. The 22.1C July mean was recorded as 21.5C with SMHI's hour-by-hour method that is a significant "disadvantage" compared to the high + low divided by two method...

You really should do a rate the climate thread of Utö's 1981-2010 normals That climate is even more bonkers than Landsort and Måseskär (our craziest maritime stations).

Landsort also recorded a 19.2C avg low (Aug 2002), whereas Måseskär didn't fall below 16.5C all that same month!

I don't do rate the climate threads anymore. They are the disease of this forum.

I disagree. Sure, if different places use different systems, it's going to be more difficult to compare them. However, it's not like you can't figure out the average between max/min temperatures yourself. 24h means much better relate to how warm the climate actually is. The diurnal temperature graph isn't a sine wave and so the differences between a sunny 23/13'C day and a sunny 23/13'C day can be huge.
