Warmest: no limit for tropical climates (Singapore, Manaus, Darwin etc.); as for arid/semi-arid climates, Phoenix and Dubai (would hate the summers there...Mecca is a climatic hellhole)
Well I have actually lived in both the hot and cold and even the rainiest too!
Minnesota where I grew up - colder then Alaska at times!
Australia - heat wave just this year of 120 degrees Fahrenheit for a number of days.
UK - rainiest one year there was some rain on 360 days out of 365 days.
CORRECTION - I meant to type that it rained 330 days out of 365, sorry about the typo. Thanks to the poster that discovered my mistake. I remember it was big news that there was precipitation on 330 days, not sure how much rain needs to fall to be recorded. I lived in Wales and Northern England in the 80's-90's so it was one of the years that I lived there.

That has been the rainiest and cloudiest country I have ever lived in but also one of the greenest lands too.
Coldest: Freiburg, Germany
Warmest in Europe: Athens, Greece
