Yes, that's Kingstree. Wish they would get that station figured out.

How long have dewpoints been that high?

What makes dewpoints so high in the midwest:

A couple of very dry days, then dew points surge to close to 80F/27C by the weekend (and probably higher in the suburbs)

Dewpoint update in Bridgeport, CT. Nothing unusual but now approaching 24hrs being 70°+. (since 3pm yesterday)

And still not much wind. Looks like that might change with the High Pressure moving in. My leaves have not moved in forever it feels like. Ugh.

Most July days have reached dewpoints of 21°C and often 23-26°C last week, now with the new heatwave daily highs don't rise much (just 30°C today with 20°C at 850 hPa!) but high humidity rates and high lows make the days and nights uncomfortable.

You are making a correlation that does not exist. We have a 14mph wind with higher gusts and it's still muggy as hell. The wind certainly causes it to feel cooler, but negligible effect on humidity IMO.

Thats what my point was. Wish i had winds to go along with the humidity to make it more tolerable.. Horrible today. Stale.

But now its picking up and sure enough drier air is moving in. Thank God for Canadian Highs.
