Btw, having a glass of a cold drink (uncovered is best) is a good way to get a sense of the dew point. My glass of iced coffee created a puddle on my desk.

Humid air hits cold glass (near freezing?), condenses water when it cools.

So if it is humid you say I should get alot of water outside the glass?

Probably not as I think the dew point will continue to drop as the day goes on.

I think so. Make sure the glass is cold. Iced water would work well.

At least some wetness should have appeared. Here any cold drink in your hands outside is completely wet in a matter of a minute or so.

If the temperature of the glass is below the dewpoint, any water vapor that comes in contact will condense. If the glass is in the sun the sun may heat the glass despite the cold water.
