I wonder why it was considerably more humid in Cincinnati than here this evening, despite being 70 miles north with similar elevation and terrain.

Right off the bat I'll say because it was more cloudy in Cinci vs sunny at LEX..
Wonder if there was more dry air aloft mixing down over LEX vs Cinci too.
Lastly, was there a storm over Cinci with rain? Ground may have been wetter there at the time

Radar loop last 24hrs. Definitely was moisture and storms in the area but looks like it missed both cities?

So maybe eliminate my 3rd guess? Unless ground was wetter from previous day? ?

Edit:: Boom. Over 1/2" rain at Cinci, 0 at LEX. Ground was wetter one cause likely.

Around 100° NYC, Long Island, NJ.

Currently 90F with a 71F dewpoint. Heat index 96F, which isn't as bad as I thought.

I like this comfort chart. I agree with it.

How about this one?. Although sticky in low 60s I don't agree with. Maybe in Spring with rain around?

Another one... Not sure I would call low 60s "sticky". I like how NWS actually put the words "miserable" on there. LOL

Surprised the day before would make that much difference.

We're up to 73° now.

Looks like Cinci back in mid 70s too. Looks like again moisture heading towards there.
Are the fronts just stalling to your north this summer?

Last 4 hour loop with dew points. Streets flooded in Western NY and parts of Ohio where the downpours are.
