Yup Illinois peaked at 84F not too far to the west of me. Incredible. Mind you I have a 77 degree dew point right now (as do many suburban Chicago stations have this hour, even a 79F in DeKalb) which is very oppressive.
and at this hour it feels like 115F in Central Illinois. Outrageous

Damn. Sometimes the heat and humidity you guys get dwarfs ours, lol.
Peak heat index here was 101 F (38.3 C) today, temp was 90 F (32.2 C) with a 75 F (23.9 C) dew point at the time.
