Added 10 days of July with update. Todays max is 69 so far. Looks like we got pinks coming back this weekend (50-59F) maybe brown? (49°F or less)

Max dewpoints for Bridgeport, CT

Now that I look closer if we get dewpoints in the 50s this weekend it will be 5 years since we felt that dry after July 2nd.

Dewpoint is very low at the moment: 6.5°C / 42.7°F, still at 30°C/ 86°F it feels like an oven when you walk out of the air condioned office.

Nice! I'm at 63°F / 17°C but I see the air behind me moving in.

NWS Boston Discussion.

SATURDAY...

HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE REGION WITH NORTHWEST FLOW. UPPER
COLD POOL SWINGS OVERHEAD DURING THE DAY...PROMOTING MIXING TO 800
MB. WINDS IN THE MIXED LAYER REACH 30 KNOTS...WILL INCREASE THE
GUST FORECAST ABOVE MODEL VALUES. TEMPS AT 800 MB SUPPORT MAX
TEMPS OF 75 TO AROUND 80. DEWPOINTS UPSTREAM ARE IN THE MID 40S TO
MID 50S...EXPECT THESE TO BE WITH US ON SATURDAY. DEWPTS IN THE MID
40S WOULD BE 2 STD DEV BELOW THE AVERAGE
.

Is there any known relationship between humidity and sun strength? Could a lot of moisture in the air act as a filter for the rays? Today it was around 78-80 and the dewpoint was 50, in the shade it was very cool and pleasant but the sun seemed SO strong compared to normal and made me feel much hotter than it was. In a parking lot I honestly could tell no difference from when it was near 90 and 70s dewpoint last week. In any case, I am already sick of this desert weather.

Not sure. I know when soil is drier it can get hotter but as far as higher humidity blocking the sun all I can think of is maybe the haze helps filter it? So probably a connection.

Especially this time of year with the sun angle. When the air is cleaner and drier it can shine harder and "feel" hotter while the air temp is actually cooler than previous days.

It's pretty impressive west of me.

60s up to Canada. It's actually 58F/14C in Tallahassee Florida.
There's more widespread 40s in Ohio Valley then this map shows.
