Keep in mind that Djibouti has very oppresive humidity creating 130F+ conditions at times and Jungfraujoch is at top of a mountain so it tends to be very windy created subzero windchills during the entire year. Plus the place is buried in snow year-round and hardly gets any sunlight.
well, hard to explain, but the "u" in "Jung" is definetely rather pronounced as a short form of english "oo" like in "too"... And to explain, how the german "r" and the "ch" are pronounced is rather impossible without talking face to face ;-) german "ch" is kind of between english "ch"/"k" and english "sh", although there are two totally different ways to pronounce a "ch" in german itself depending on after which vowel it stands...
Anyway, I'll choose the Jungfraujoch as I just wouldn't be able to survive in Djibouti
I love snow! Even snow year-round doesn't bother me one bit, unless I am a farmer and need the sun to grow crops. I love to ski, I love going outside in the cold, and I love the atmosphere of nature in the winter. Now, summer has its benefits as well, but I would opt for as long of a winter as possible, given the choice.
Jungfraujoch. It gets a 50% / E-. Djibouti actually gets a negative score. Not only is it oppressively hot for most of the year, but it's also a DESERT. Bye bye.
