There's at least 6 inches/15 cm of snow on the ground right now and the street in front of my house has not yet been plowed. That is about how much snow is on the road, too, aside from tire tracks. So quite snowbound here at the moment.

To top it off Chicago (O'Hare) is forecast to go below zero (-18C or lower) four of the next seven days bringing O'Hare's total to 16 this season. Most below zero days in a season was 25 way back in 1884/85. We might have a crack at it this winter the way things are going!
Note: Back in the late 19th century the official station in Chicago was directly on the lakeshore. So it is highly likely that inland spots (such as where O'Hare amd Midway are now situated) would have seen quite a few more such days.
I foresee all this snow sticking around for a long time. The forecast high temperatures here are as follows, in C, for the next few days, -9, -4, -7, 1, -2, 0, -2...
