There's at least 6 inches/15 cm of snow on the ground right now and the street in front of my house has not yet been plowed. That is about how much snow is on the road, too, aside from tire tracks. So quite snowbound here at the moment.

Nice. Enjoy! Stay safe. Lots of us are in this fun together.

5" here now. 1"+ per hr rates.

I'm loving this new camera for night shots.

Sick. Loving all this!

My 7pm snow total is now 6.80". The 1-2" per hr rate continues.

Awesome!

To top it off Chicago (O'Hare) is forecast to go below zero (-18C or lower) four of the next seven days bringing O'Hare's total to 16 this season. Most below zero days in a season was 25 way back in 1884/85. We might have a crack at it this winter the way things are going!

Note: Back in the late 19th century the official station in Chicago was directly on the lakeshore. So it is highly likely that inland spots (such as where O'Hare amd Midway are now situated) would have seen quite a few more such days.

First time Philly has had three 6-inch-or-greater snow events before Feb. 1 on record since 1884. 11" and counting.
