I think records were broken just seeing those single digits that far.

Edit... actually this is wrong. BDL hit 6 they show 9.

Edit Edit.... Map is from January 28! LOL!

I believe interior S. New Jersey got colder than what is shown on that map. I thought I saw below zero temps.

And the fun keeps on coming! NWS Chicago just upgraded the Friday night/Saturday snow event to 4-9 inches and the Tuesday night/Wednesday snow at this early stage to possibly over 10+ inches

I forgotten about this one. I always use it for current stuff. They have U.S Max/Mins and Currents. You can zoom in and add different densities.I can't stand the icons. Do they not realize how those boxes look?

Today marked the 30th measurable snow of season; total snow's now 50"+ (127cm+) at MDW

This RPM model run puts 11 inches (28cm) down at MDW on Saturday. Significantly less here in the south suburbs (no lake enhancement), and probably close to the rain snow line.... Possible ice and freezing rain just to the south of me.

Ok now I am officially getting excited! After potentially heavy snow on Friday night/Saturday, latest forecast runs for the Tuesday night/Wednesday event looks even more impressive!

Yes, I know it's several days out, and the track will wobble but somehow my gut is telling me that this snow will be a "big impact" event for Chicagoland
