Umataio is a high latitude subarctic climate. Despite the classification, it's winters are maritime-moderated, and thus much milder than typical for a subarctic climate. Although it's winters aren't colder than northern US winters, the snow season lasts longer (8 months, if counting trace of snow 9 months vs. 7 months for typical northern US) and has lesser warm spells. It's summers are also subpar, with the average high for the hottest month at 14c, although heat waves can provide chance of warmth. Annual sunshine is moderate at 1795 hours. Precipitation is also low (385mm annual), because of the rain shadow made by the Trans-island mountains. Nevertheless clouds can pass above the mountains, giving a sunshine average of 1,795 hours.
I give it a B-. Average temps are near ideal, but the lack of reliable cold relief and low precipitation gonna disgust me.
Why are all your climate super mild for their latitude? It's kind of annoying...I rate this a C+
Because he has this fictional huge island surrounded by super hot ocean currents. He's got a humid subtropical climate at 52N. Parts of that island get over 110F. It's ridiculously unrealistic.

Not to mention he repeatedly posts what are pretty much the same climates over and over again.
Summers way too cool and winter too cold, and do I see that it snows a lot? F+
