A look at the 850mb temps next week for the northern hemisphere and a close-up of N.America.

I'll title this... "The bleed down".

High was 13C yesterday, right now at 6AM it's raining and also 13C at both Chicago airports

Other then the "limbo" temperatures (not warm enough to enjoy and not cold enough for snow) usually present in November, another reason why I find this month disgusting is the lack of sun. The first 5 days we've had only 16.4 hours of sunshine

If GFS is to be believed, we probably will get our first snow on 14 November, which is quite spot on to the long time average. The GFS has been quite consistent on this and been predicting snow on that date for a week already. But the snow avoids us sometimes as much as heat avoids Melbourne, so let's see.

No sight of ice days, though. My gut feeling will say that we'll have one on 22 or 23 November. 9 of the 10 last Novembers have had at least one, so the odds are hugely in favor of us seeing one this November as well.

Look at the new update... ... ... Let's see how consistant it is now. Fun times ahead for us.
