This is too impressive not to have a thread on it. I added August on the title because I think it carries over into August. Feel free to add any location around the world here with record cold numbers

Just one link of many showing the records.

The following is a table of observed minimum temperatures and previous record values for the 27th and 28th of July. Readings in red indicate broken records, while those in blue indicate tied records
Record Low Temperatures Set Both Saturday and Sunday Morning

Look at the current temp departures from normal.

The reason for it all....

Few record lows from this morning plus mention of frost coming up,.

I think for climates that are brutally cold for a good portion of the year, getting frost and cool 6-8C nights in the middle of summer is a real kick in the ass.

I don't know if it broke the record, but Madison, WI was horrible yesterday! It was 62 for the HIGH, with AM drizzle.

Doesnt look like records were broken there yesterday or today. (but 1 or 2 degrees from it)

Madison, WI is in Milwaukee's Office zone. Here's their story on it. Temperatures Well Below Normal This Weekend! (Updated 9 am Sun)

October-like weather spread across Wisconsin Friday night and Saturday, as a cold front exited to the east

It DID feel like October! But whenever I looked out the window and saw green trees, it was very confusing! I wish the weather would realize it's July!

Theres some seriously interesting weather happening in the U.S. After this current ULL leaves, the Euro says another one drops straight down from Canada into Great Lakes and Northeast around August 4th-6th. The loop is fascinating to watch because it doesnt swing...its drops straight south! #Blocking!
