anywhere from 20-50 inches would be ideal.

Between 1500 and 2000 mm, many areas in the northwest have such values, where I live the average is 1000mm.

I didn't expect it to average high. Right now the results average 1125.4 mm - leaning on the high side.

JetsNHL, I can't find it anywhere. Maybe it's very old?

Don't mind as long as it comes in heavy thunderstorms.

251-500mm.

More important is how it is delivered. Prefer at night in heavy (and fewer) doses, rather than daytime drizzle.

No specific amounts, but I like winter snow and hate cold rain.

Considering that my dream climates are fairly cool with temperatures above 24C/75F being rare, I would prefer enough precipitation to have good winter snowfall, but it could be pretty dry the rest of the year and I would be fine with it.

I like lots of rain so I chose 1001 - 1500 mm. Since I live in CA we have very dry summers and very wet winters, and that's just the way I like it. The occasional summer thunderstorm is lovely as well but those are rare.
