6/2: 80/62; 5.45" from intense storms in the PM (the 5.45" was recorded in only one hour)
6/3: 76/59; 0.77" (light rain for a good amount of the day)



Much cooler and drier today

Heading up to 66 F (19 C) today with sunny skies. Much cooler than normal. Cool snap will be really short-lived though.

Low this morning was 41 F (5 C), strong southeasterly breeze has caused the temperature to rise fast and for humidity levels to spike as well. Thunderstorms later on today in Winter Haven.

Yesterday in WH the high was 85 F and there was an afternoon storm that dropped 0.61" of precipitation. Today will be hot and humid in WH.


Already quite warm at a quarter past ten AM:

**SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING**

Radar indicated some strong, severe pop-up storms developing in the S suburbs of Blountstown and Petersburg moving N at 20-30 mph. Storms produced very heavy rain, nickel-sized hail, and winds in excess of 60 MPH. Rainfall rates of up to 6" an hour indicated as well. Please be aware and careful of this storm and head inside if possible.


**TORNADO WARNING**

Same storm indicated by the radar has proved to have favorable conditions for tornado development. Please seek shelter as soon as possible.

Heavy thunderstorm happening right now. There was another one earlier today that dropped 2.47" of rain in 45 minutes and had a max wind gust of 68 mph.
