Early freezes are great, and a first freeze in the middle of August is pretty typical in my climate. The average July reaches 32F on the coldest night of the month, so it's hit or miss depending on the year - the latest first freezes on record were in early October, and the earliest would have to be the years when there isn't any significant freeze-free season.

They either grow it in a greenhouse or import it from elsewhere.

Well in my fantasy forecast Tuesday has a low of 29° with morning snow. How often does Patricianopolis get summer snow?
