This morning's low of 20 F (-7 C) is the coldest August temperature since August 27, 2006 when it went down to 17 F (-8 C). Set a record low for the date, which was 22 F (-6 C) on August 17, 1978.

St. Edward's is basking in rare warmth and sunshine. Currently 80 F/27 C at 5:50PM. Repeat expected tomorrow and still quite warm Wednesday.

That would be interesting to experience in August. Right now I could go for such weather. My climate doesn't usually have 43 F/6 C maxes until October.

Dang. Even my lowest max so far this month was only 49F.

But by the end of the month there will probably be a high near freezing.

Lowest max in my climate this month is 50 F/10 C on August 1st. No days that cool are expected until the latter part of September.

I agree, August (especially the second half) is when I start to get sick of heat and humidity. I would love to experience a cold, windy day with flurries in August.

To give you an idea, the average high for August 17 is 71.5 F (22 C) so 43 F is a great deal below normal. Set a record for low max for the day. Tonight, the predicted low is 21 F (-6 C).


There probably won't be highs this cold until mid-late September.

Currently 23C and clear at 01:42. Dew point 21C

High today was 31C with clear sunshine.. forecast for tomorrow is pretty similar.

Summer in my climate doesn't really end until the closing days of September, even then it remains in the 20s C until mid November on average.

Average high is still 34°C. The average high doesn't drop below 30°C until late September.
