The Wizard of Oz.

Yeah I know but still, the tornado scene is the most captivating I've ever seen, and all done with a stocking apparently, but so realistic.

A movie called "The Trap" (1966) It wasn't a movie about weather as such, but was mostly set in the Canadian wilderness during cold, snowy weather. I saw it at the movies as a kid and it really got me in awe of such cold snowy places.

excellent choice. i like how the hurricane merges with the extratropical nor'easter, which is of course, what happened. so since they (twc) now name winter extratropical lows, and hurricanes, when there is another perfect storm, which name will they use? don't know the answer to this, but i wonder if they do a fujiwara before they merge?

Haven't seen a good movie based on the weather. "The Day After Tomorrow" holds the distinction of being the only movie I've fallen asleep in at a cinema.
