Went hiking in this spot in Central Connecticut. Trail was right along the edge of a hill.
Facing Northeast. Air temp 51°F.
The panorama is hard to depict the valley. There was a pretty big drop right in front. I think this would be considered a V shape? Even though there was a lake and homes down below in spots.

Looks quite similar to here. Btw, those cliffs (metacomet ridge) continue northward right to where I live. That small mountain ridge and cliffs I took photos of here:
is a continuous of the same ridge you visited. The viewpoints is from on the side of it. Btw, both the cornfield and flowers are gone. Recent freeze have done in almost all plants last week.
